Veterans Day

Veterans Day is a very special holiday, in which we honor those who have served for our country and those who are still currently serving our country. I feel proud to be living in this country. I think we should all feel proud to be living in this country considering all those who have risked their lives just for our country and it's people and those who are still out this serving our country.
I honor those who have given everything to defend our freedoms in this country. I am proud to have them recognized each year and to give them thanks each year for everything they have done, those who left their families at home with the thought that they might not return just to defend our freedom in this country, those who did not make it to return to their families and those who have not yet returned to them.  I think that those who have fought for this country and those who are currently fighting for this country deserve the right to be recognized every year for everything they have given to their country. So God Bless The U.S.A and those serving for this country!

If I were Rich....

If i were rich i would be beyond happy! Trust me things would not me the same way that they are now. First of all with all the money that i would have, I would help my family get back on track with alot of things. I would make sure my mom had enough to last us for a while and the I would make sure my dad had enough to last him and my brother for a while and make sure that it helps my dad find a job again so that after that i gave him was gone he wouldn't have to worry because he would already have a job. After i made sure that my family was squared away and not having such a hard time money wise, i would set aside the money needed to be able to have a Quinceanera (15) and be able to get everything i need for my quinceanera. That would definately complete one of my dreams.
Last, but not least, I would use all the money that I have left over after all of those things mentioned, and I would put it towards my goal. I would use the money left over to help me get started in my music career. First of all buy the things i need to make and record my song, and then send it to someone to hear my song, and watever money is needed after that, assuming they like it, would be used to complete the steps towards achieving my dream in the music industry. So thats it that's everything I wold do if I was rich.(:

My biggest Goal in Life..!

One of my biggest goals in life that I have had since i was little, besides graduating from college, was to get a successful career as a singer. I know it may sound totally unrealistic, which is why i don't like to tell people about it, but unlike some other girls who just say it because they want to become famous, or they want to have a lot of money, or they want to be the center of attention most of the time, I say it because i love music.
I have a huge passion for music especially when it comes to singing. Singing has always been something that i loved to do. When i was little, instead of telling my parents that when i grow up i want to be a princess, like most kids normally say when they're little, i would tell them i wanted to be a singer. Ever since singing became my passion, i never changed what i wanted to be. I never changed that goal that I am striving to reach. I love to sing whether its just for fun, or it's for an actual performance. The orchestra teacher from my middle school chose me to sing two of the Spanish songs that they were playing in their concert. One thing is that I love to sing no matter what it is, but I especially love to sing Spanish songs. But anyways, this is what my biggest goal in life is. It may not sound realistic, but I know that I am the only one who can make this goal realistic, I am the only one who can make this happen for myself, and that's exactly what I am going to do. I am going to achieve my goal, and I'm going to show people that it can be as realistic as you want it to be!

Christopher Colombus

Christopher Columbus's voyage, to me, was one of the most interesting things that happened
back then. His voyage is one of reasons that they were able to come up with North, South, and
Central America. If it wasn't for Christopher Columbus, America probably wouldn't be what it is
today.
I feel that what Christopher Columbus did was good. If it wasn't for him a lot of things would be different,
America probably wouldn't be called America, there would be no such thing as North, South, and Central
America and we might not even live where we live now. Thanks to Christopher Columbus, things are the way they are now and we live in a wonderful country called America!

The scariest thing that ever happened to me...

One time, my best friend Brandy and I were at a hotel attending a party that we were
both invited to. My best friend was tired of walking around so when it was time to leave, we
decided to take the elevator instead of the stairs. It was close to 10:30 at night and we happened
to be the only ones in the elevator at that time, when it randomly stopped like three seconds after the
doors closed. The alarm for some reason did not go off and the elevator doors did not want to open
and the elevator waas not moving at all.
All of a sudden right when we were about to press buttonto open the door to see if it would open, the elevator started making weird noises and started to move down faster than it normally does or is normally supposed to. It stopped and my friend and i kept pressing the button to open the door and it did not
want to open. We got really scared because after all that was going on the alarm for the elevator
still did not go off. The elevator finally started to function again and as we got to the floor we were trying to get to the doors finally opened and my friend and i ran out. We went to go ask the people in the other elevator if anything unusuall had happened and they said no. Of course the people looked at us weird because we were bothe scared and freaked out. It didn't help that this happened the day before halloween.
Ever since then my friend and I have bee so terrified of elevators that no matter what we prefer to take
the stairs to get to where we need to.

Stock Market Crash

Our current economic situation right now hasn't changed much from how it was before. For some reason we manage to stay in the same situation before and for some reason can't get out of it. Many people now struggle just like they did before because of the economic situation.
However, we, particularly my family, doesn't seem to be affected by the conomic situation for certain reasons. Not having a car, helps us to not worry about gas prices, well at least for now until we get a car again. My mom works just enough hours to be able to get in groceries and some extra stuff. So luckily we havent really been affected by our economic situation so it keeps us doing ok, at least for now.

Higher Education, free or paid by government

I think "Higher Education" such as college or universities, should be paid by the government like K-12 is. I think that it should be paid for by the government because it would make it easier for people who don't have the money or can't get a scholar ship to b able to go to college without having to worry about fundraising to get the money or working two to three jobs at a time to afford to get in.
I also think that if colleges or universities were paid by the government more people would actually consider going to college and continuing their education and might even want to go for their masters degree or something along that category. More people would go to college and not have to worry about the cost. Most people would stop saying "it's too much and i won't be able to afford it, so im not sure if im gonna do colleg or not" and would start saying "wow college is being paid for already, that makes it so much easier for me, now i can go to college without worrying about the cost." If the government were to pay for college there would be a great amount of peopl filled with hope to be able to go to college, and an even grater amount that will actually attend college now that it's affordable.
